TBH, I don't know how feature teams would deliver faster. If they did, it would be in the short term at the sacrifice of future speed. The biggest challenge with domain-aligned teams is maintaining contracts in a way that allows async delivery and correct sub-domain decomposition. My experience has been that these problems are much easier to solve than the problems caused by feature teams.
